Basic Principals

No, I’m not gonna tell you what the ‘Turn’ or the ‘River’ card is. You should now that by now. And if you don’t know yet, don’t worry. Just go here for a full guide on how to play.

Right now I want to teach you some basic principles on what to do, and what not do when you’re trying to beat the game of No Limit Texas Hold’em on a consistent base.

Here’s how I see it: Everybody can have one good night and win some money. Even the worst poker players. Everybody can catch a run of good cards every now and then, and it doesn’t require great skill to get lucky and show the best hand at the end of the day. But then again, it doesn’t make you any money in the long run either.

What does take great skill is to win without having the best hand. And when you do have the best hand, to make sure you make maximum profit. To know which cards to play, and from what position. When to bluff. How to make people think you’re bluffing when you’re actually holding a strong hand.

You need to learn to ‘read’ your opponent. Get into his mind and make sure you keep him guessing as to what cards you hold, and learn to make him give away valuable tells about the strength of his hand.

Only if you’re able to master these skills, you can start becoming a great poker player.

And boy are you lucky. We’re gonna teach you how to do it!

It all begins with playing the right Starting Hands
